Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Domes

Last week was an exciting week for Chad Fisher Construction! The domes and crosses for the new Immaculate Conception Church were lifted by crane and set into place on top of the entry towers.

Each dome weighs approximately 1,500 pounds and is made out of fiber glass infused with resin and PET foam (from recycled plastic bottles). Jimmy Diedesch of Janicki Industries designed the domes and crosses, which were built using salvaged materials from previous projects at Janicki. It took about 2 hours for a team of seven workers to successfully lift, set and secure the four pieces to the church towers.
